Why do I have to pay for THEQ?
Answer
A great deal of time and effort went into making THEQ work for you. The questions are, for the most part, the same types of questions doctors ask. Family doctors, surgeons, dentists, chiropractors, psychologists, psychiatrists, etc. ask these types of questions to help them make a diagnosis on you. Doctors of all kinds combine these questions with a physical examination and special tests. Some of these special tests are;
Blood tests of many kinds
Urine tests of many kinds
Saliva tests
X-Rays
Cat Scans (CT)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
PET Scans
Bone Scans
Bone density studies
Endoscopic exams (Looking inside the body with a camera.)
Etc.
In the health care setting, doctors then combine the History (the types of questions we ask in THEQ) with the physical exam and the special tests, to come to a conclusion as to a diagnosis (what's wrong) based on science and the doctor's professional best judgement.
It is obvious that we cannot make a diagnosis here because we do not have any physical exam or special tests on you. For our purposes, we do not need them. But, we will have evidence, that is based on science, that comes from your responses on THEQ. That science allows us to make conclusions about you. Those conclusions are contained within your LIA Lifestyle Questionnaire Report of Findings that you get when you take THEQ. That report is not associated with your real name, but rather with your codename.
The fee is a small amount to pay to learn about yourself. When you take THEQ a second time, and a third time three months apart, then your results can be compared and your progress tracked. THis progress is invaluable information. It helps you prioritize your improvement along the roadway to optimal health and wellness.
Your 37 scores are percentage scores. They fall into ranges out of 100 percent which is considered optimal health. The ranges that you score in indicate something about you. Your Report of Findings tells you what the indication means for each of the 37 scores, and then makes a recommendation to you about that indication. You will have 37 recommendations.
In order to help you improve yourself there are an additional eight Action Plan items that will be suggested. A LIA Instructor can help you prioritize your Action Plan items and can suggest many more if you accomplish them all very quickly. The Questionnaire is designed for the first set of Action Plan items to be very easy. The next time you take the questionnaire the Action Plan items will be a little more difficult.
Right now Dr. Ouellette would become your LIA Lifestyle Instructor. You can contact him on the Comments Page if you feel you need advice.
